It has begun. In Year 1, fantastic creations are beginning to spring into life. Linked to conservation and saving the planet, Year 1 are looking at what is happening to sea creatures. We have started to create a whale out of newspaper and a turtle made using willow and paper mache. In addition we are also making a large seahorse.
The children have been preparing boards ready to create more sea creatures out of recycled items including broken toys, plastic bags and used food cartons.
Year 3 have been using paper mache to create a cornucopia linked to their topic of pollution in the sea. The shell will be filled with rubbish which is found in the sea, these items are killing the sea creatures and washing up on shores throughout the planet. All of these fabulous creations and it is only day 1.
We will keep you posted about day 2 because we have a London Dance group joining us for the day.
